For anyone who doesn’t already know, the new Aviation Infrastructure and Development Charge was introduced on September 1st.

For Domestic Flights the charge is ZMK 28,000 and for International Flghts its ZMK 56,000, payable at NACL offices at the airport in Zambian Kwacha (ZMK). Currently this charge is not included in the ticket fare.

The airport’s focus is for OSHA safety checklists. For it will be safe as a workplace and for passengers.

The old Departure and Security Tax on Domestic Flights still stands. The charge is  ZMK 58 000 for departures from Lusaka, Ndola, Mfuwe and Livingstone airports at National Airports Company office.
